- Implement and maintain an integral Sales-, Business Development-, Infield Application- and Sales-support-structure based on a common mindset within the global BP commercial organization to maximize efficiency.
- Carry out budgetary and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Eppendorf’s strategy, policies and applicable laws
- Ensure the strategic and operational objectives for the European Bioprocess Sales business are met and aligned with Bioprocess Service
- Accountable for managing and forecasting the expense-budgets in Sales and Sales-Support in Bioprocess EU
- Develop and implement an European Going to Market (GTM) strategy based on a global GTM strategy for Bioprocess, in Alignment with other Stakeholders of Eppendorf Group
- Balance the required resources between Sales, Applications/Business Development and Sales Support to reduce duplication of work and maximize revenue with minimized resources
- Provide a reliable European Bioprocess forecast of expected sales and order entry as well as on a unit level for production planning
- Manage the European Bioprocess opportunity funnel (sales pipeline), select and monitor appropriate KPIs to improve success rates and balance the business across the year
- Collaboration on product development, including market feedback on current product portfolio as well as pricing strategies etc.
- Manage Key Accounts and support Sales with customer visits throughout Europe
- Ensure customer focused approaches to further increase customer satisfaction and maximize service turnover for Bioprocess
- Balance the interests of maximized service revenue versus maximized sales revenue by driving the cooperation
- Hire, Coach and develop personnel to improve selling skills as well as time and territory management, follow up on performance and introduce corrective actions
- Lead, motivate people and be a role model for Eppendorf’s Vision, Mission, Values
Your expertise
- Successfully completed scientific/technical degree
- More than 5-years in a Sales leadership role within the life Biotech industry
- Proven track record of success in leading sales teams
- Advanced knowledge of workflows and applications in life science research and development
- Experience with and excellent understanding of key financial data
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to network effectively (internal and external) and establish effective working relationships
- Results driven, good analytical capabilities
- Motivated by change; ability to drive business with constant improvement intentions
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills
- Outstanding and concise verbal and written communication in German and English mandatory
- Strong Bioprocess industry & market knowledge
- Accomplished leader and ability to develop and implement business opportunities and new approaches in a change process
- Willingness to travel extensively and ability to understand and work in culturally different markets
