- Accountable for Bioprocess portfolio strategy and roadmap as well as, product strategy and roadmap
- Accountable for innovation strategy and roadmap as well as, development strategy and roadmap
- Accountable for application strategy and roadmap
- Budgetary and personnel responsibilities for portfolio, development, and application organization
- Deliver holistic solutions covering relevant workflows of customers in focused markets and applications, thereby addressing their major pain points and needs.
- Drive portfolio/product, innovation/development and application strategy and roadmap development and implementation to
- Deliver innovative and market relevant tangible and non-tangible (new) products (instruments, consumables, software, and services [digitally enabled services]), on-time and in budget
- Manage and sustain (new and existing) products over their full lifetime, achieving and securing optimal economic success
- Meet expectations of Biotech/Pharma customers to utilize products and services in regulated environments (governed by regulation like, but not limited to, GMP/cGMP)
- Support the transformation from “capital investment good sale” to “recurring revenue” driven business
- Ensure end-customer relevance by utilizing “customer co-development” approach with key customers
- Spearhead “in-design projects” at key opportunities using interdisciplinary teams composed of portfolio, applications, development, and other members from relevant stakeholder teams
Your expertise
- Successfully completed scientific or technical degree
- More than 10 years in a leadership role for portfolio or development (R&D) within bioprocess industry
- Advanced knowledge of workflows and applications in bioprocess industry and technology, with experience in Cell & Gene Therapy highly preferred
- Experience with and understanding of business processes with focus on bioprocess industry
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills
- Outstanding and concise verbal and written communication in English
- Strong Bioprocess industry & market knowledge
- Accomplished leader and ability to develop and implement business opportunities and new approaches in a change process
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to network effectively (internal and external) and establish effective working relationships
- Results driven, good analytical capabilities
- Motivated by change; ability to drive business with constant improvement intentions
- Willingness to travel and ability to understand and work in culturally different markets
