Your challenges

  • The Head of Commercial Product Management will manage the team of Commercial Product Managers within the North American Commercial Unit of Eppendorf.
  • Ensure a cohesive and strategy-driven approach to all Commercial Product Management tasks across North America and alignment with all stakeholders.
  • Leads Commercial Product Management (CPM) team for all related activities, including but not limited to sales rep training, pre-sales sales support, stocking level guidance, sales analytics & reporting, product launch support, and market & competitive intelligence
  • Proactively engages and cultivates relationships with all relevant management stakeholders to ensure smooth processes, expose evolving business needs and create visibility for CPM activities
  • Reports to the Head of Operational Marketing Americas and is based out of Framingham (Boston area), MA, with the possibility of working partially remotely. Travel between Framingham/MA and Enfield/CT sites and to Headquarter in Germany as required is expected, also in support of the Commercial team 15% of time should be customer-facing
  • Leads Commercial Product Management (CPM) team for all related activities, including but not limited to sales rep training, pre-sales sales support, stocking level guidance, sales analytics & reporting, product launch support, and market & competitive intelligence
  • Work in collaboration with Business Units, Operational Marketing, and Business Intelligence to develop unique value propositions for products and applications based on deep customer and competitor insight, create a differentiation product experience in the marketplace and drive innovative solutions to customer needs and strategies to capitalize on emerging market opportunities
  • Responsible for overarching Service Product topics within the realm of Commercial Product Management responsibilities, including strategy development, reporting of service sales numbers, as well as ensuring the execution of service strategies on individual CPM level
  • Your expertise

    • Motivated individual with modern leadership skills, an analytical mindset and excellent communication skills who is proactive, organized, and able to multitask
    • Master’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, ideally with a business degree
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in people management in marketing or product management, including leading small and mid-size teams
    • Experience in developing people and leading high-performance teams
    • Life science industry experience a plus
    • Professional competence, special knowledge
