Your Tasks

Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing automation, methods and assembly systems.

Analyzes, plans and improves work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum manufacturing efficiency.

Performs process analyses (sequence and content of assembly steps, time studies, material flow analysis) and develops to-be assembly concepts.

Improves process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.

Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

Estimates times, resource requirements, and related material and labor cost to provide information for projects and other decisions related to the manufacturing process.

Functions as Project Manager for Production and Development

Supports the development and implementation of new products and implementation into production and is responsible for the following:

New product DFMA from the early stages of the product development

Process analysis, FMEA, Cost analysis

Conduct planned/actual calculation of production cost

Design of fixtures, testing devices and tools

Manages the build of pilot run and provide proof of, or optimize, process ability

Ensures a timely and successful implementation of new products into production

Responsible for the setup and introduction of assembly equipment, tools, work instructions, material flow for the production line of a new product

Your Expertise

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university, and three to five years of directly related Manufacturing Engineering experience and/or training.

Must be familiar with ISO 9000, Lean Manufacturing, and have good knowledge of Solidworks, Industry 4.0, digitization and process support systems i.e.

Experience in automation and/or injection molding operations is preferable
