Your challenges

Strategic Focus:

  • Promote and support the Eppendorf brand and products within your assigned territory, actively growing market share whilst ensuring overall customer satisfaction
  • Develop and execute a strategic key account and territory business plan which addresses advertising requirements, promotions, trade shows, and channel development
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, building a strong group of customer advocate

Sales Focus:

  • Track, measure, compare and present on product, customer and channel sales performance
  • Be the key contact and coordinator for all customer’s needs with your territory, working with all other departments and Eppendorf team members to ensure these needs are addressed
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to ensure sales objectives can be met

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned territory by calling on established and prospective customers via personal visits, email communication and contact by phone
  • Understand customer needs and indentify business opportunities
  • Follow up and process sales leads, based on information received from various sources including but not limited to company trade shows, marketing campaigns, telephone inquiries and other sources
  • Continually develop a list of prospective customers for targeting
  • Demonstrate products and samples to customers
  • Organize product show exhibits and attend trade show exhibits within designated territory, for the purpose of promoting products and engaging with customers
  • Assist with troubleshooting on Eppendorf products within designated territory
  • Maintains and update company, customer, and sales data as required in company CRM
  • Work cooperatively with assigned Instrument Sales Specialist and Bioprocess Sales Engineer to generate leads for Automation and Bioprocess product lines
  • Execute global and regional key account strategies in key accounts
  • Responsible for the condition and functionality of all company assets (IT, Demo equipment)
  • Submits required documentation on a timely basis: including opportunity updates in CRM, sales reports,

Your expertise

  • Bachelor Degree in Molecular Technology, or related subjects
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ industry related sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets
  • Key understanding of customer applications and workflows
  • Knowledge of purchasing processes and competitor landscape
  • Solid network of key user references
  • Computer literacy and able to use PC and PC based software
  • General knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Familiar with maintaining CRM data, funnel management and forecasting
  • Valid driver’s license, and must maintain a good driving record
  • Good credit standing and must possess a credit card to pay business expenses, as required
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, percentages and volume
  • The physical demands required of a sales representative, including handling demonstration stock, must be met
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write business correspondence and reports
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and company personnel and the possession of good interpersonal skills are essential
  • Candidate must be able to live and work in Australia
