Your challenges

  • Create global Going to Market (GTM) strategy for BP Sales in close cooperationwith the BP Business Unit (BU) head
  • Derive regional GTM strategies in close cooperation with the Regional Heads of BP Sales
  • Balance the requirements of regional aspects and a global GTM strategy
  • Balance the required resources to reduce double work and maximize revenue with minimized resourcesby implementing a global salesapproach (coverage versus expertise)
  • Manage cross-regional and global opportunities
  • Maintain close cooperation with the BU head to interchange expert information, includinginput to midterm business plan, general industry and market trends
  • Collaboration on product development, including market feedback for new product ideasand current product portfolio as well as pricing strategies
  • Provide feedback on competitive landscape
  • Implement harmonized and globally interacting BP sales approach, e.g., e ffective quotingstrategies, discount strategies, etc.
  • Execute overall BP strategy to achieve market share gains
  • Implement systematic management of opportunities on a global level to improve successrate and to implement a reliable unit forecasts for production and a revenue/ order entryforecast to Competence Center and Headquarter functions
  • Manage key customer accounts together with the Regional Heads of BP Sales and Service bytraveling regularly through the regions
  • Management of cross-regional customers and opportunities
  • Ensure effective lead sharing (incl. compensation) and efficient support between Sales,Service and Applications between the regions
  • Coach and develop personnel to improve selling skills as well as time and territorymanagement, follow up on performance and introduce corrective actions
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure and monitor success
  • Conduct regular BP team meetings, calls and web based collaborative tools to ensurehorizontal exchange between the regions and teams
  • Lead and motivate people and be a role model for BP's overall change process

Your expertise

  • M.S or Ph D degree with scientific/technical background
  • More than 5 years in a sales leadership role within the Bioprocess industry
  • Advanced knowledge of workflows and applications in life scienceresearch and development
  • Experience with business relevant financial, HR and administrative tasks;understanding of key financial data
  • Excellent presentation, convincing and negotiation skills in English
  • Excellent and concise verbal and written communication
  • Strong industry & market knowledge in the Bioprocess segment
  • Strong leader and ability to develop and implement business opportunitiesand new approaches in a change process
  • Ability to develop, lead and motivate a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to network effectively (internal andexternal) and establish effective working relationships
  • Working successfully in a team environment
  • Results driven, good analytical capabilitiesMotivated by change; ability to drive business with constant improvementintentions
  • Willingness to travel extensively and ability to understand and work inculturally different markets
