The application process at Eppendorf

For professionals

Once you have submitted your application via our online application management tool we will review your submission as quickly as possible. If we like your application, we will invite you to an initial interview, either by phone or in person, to get to know you and find out more about your aspirations and expectations as well as your past experience. After a promising first exchange, we will invite you to a second interview so that you can get to know the department. We prefer this conversation to take place in person, but it can also be scheduled as a phone or video conference. Depending on individual job requirements, you may be invited to take part in another interview or assessment center. If all these conversations were successful, we’ll be delighted to welcome you as a new member of the Eppendorf team!

For apprentices, students & trainees

Once you have submitted your application via our online application management tool you will receive confirmation of receipt. We will then review your submission and contact you as soon as we have made our initial selection. This may take some time, depending on the number of applications we receive. If you are applying for a commercial apprenticeship, we will invite you to two interviews and ask you to take part in an online pre-test, so that we can get to know you better. If you are applying for a technical apprenticeship, you will also be asked to take a written test and complete a practical exercise, in the course of which we will put your logical reasoning to the test, along with your grasp of technology and mathematics. However, the impression you make, your motivation and your inquisitive nature are what counts. If your application process is successful, we’ll be delighted to welcome you as a new member of the Eppendorf team!

For university students

Once we have received your application, we will invite you to an initial interview, which will take place either in person or by phone and lasts approx. one hour. The interview will be held by an employee in the competent department. Ideally, we would like this to be an inspiring conversation with you; we want to find out more about you, your previous experience and your qualifications. We will also make sure there is enough time for you to ask any questions you may have on Eppendorf and the position.
