Your challenges

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and / or maintain Quality records
  • Perform inspection / testing of supplied parts according to blueprints / guidelines / inspection instructions
  • Preparing required reports on time (according to schedule) and accurately
  • Identify and record quality issues
  • Support monitoring of preventive and corrective actions, as required
  • Initiating and / or making suggestions to improve working processes or productivity
  • Assist Quality Management in the creation, development, and revision of inspection documentation

Tasks:

  • Perform measurements using an extensive variety of metrology tools, 2D & 3D measuring techniques, including working knowledge of all geometric characteristics
  • Maintain work station(s) in accordance with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Assist with manufacturing inspections, when needed
  • Assist manufacturing with testing requirements, as determined
  • Assist with compliance of calibration due dates of measuring and test equipment

Your expertise

Education, training, professional experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to five years related experience and / or training with typical quality test equipment: micrometers, gauges, CMM, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Professional competence, special knowledge (e.g. languages, IT)

Work habits / personal appearance:

  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record
  • Reports to work on time
  • Adheres to lunch and break schedules
  • Maintains clean and orderly work areas

Language skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, inspection, work, operation, and maintenance instructions / blueprints, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Management and other employees of the organization

Mathematical skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be proficient with different measurement systems (metric & imperial)

Reasoning ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Computer skills:

  • Must be computer literate with programs like Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to write electronic communication / reports in a professional manner
