Eppendorf commissions fully automated high-bay storage in Oldenburg in Holstein

With the commissioning of its fully automated high-bay storage facility, Eppendorf is safeguarding the long-term vitality of its production site in Oldenburg in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. This major investment in new construction will enable Eppendorf to improve product availability and its logistic processes to meet increased customer demand.
The high-bay storage facility ensures optimized warehousing as part of Eppendorf’s overall competence center for research, development and the production of laboratory consumables. In the process, the functions of production and logistics will be aligned more closely under the aspect of customer orientation, so that the company can continue to reliably supply its customers around the world.

The high-bay storage facility went into operation at the dedication ceremony on June 1, 2018. The facility is 100 meters long, 30 meters wide and 32 meters high, and has more than 13,000 pallet bays, offering optimized warehousing capacity for the laboratory consumables produced on-site.
This long-term investment reinforces the importance of the Oldenburg location and its development, and is part of the Eppendorf Group’s orientation toward company development aimed at sustainable, continued success.
