The Head of People, Organization & Corporate Communications (POCC), Americas plays a prominent role in the local executive committee. Responsible for overseeing essential POCC functions along the full employee life-cycle and managing the team aligning efforts with the company's goals. Collaboration with other departments regionally and globally is key to ensure employee needs and company success are aligned. This Sr. Management position within the region requires strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills to lead and mentor, coach and counsel other executive leaders in the organization as well as the P&O professionals within the team. Must be able to develop strategies and translate to effective operational activities.
- Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement POCC strategies that support the company's objectives. Provide leadership and guidance to POCC team (11 FTE) within the region. The levels of leadership are management, subject matter experts, specialists and operational employees.
- Budget: Responsible to manage a budget of approximately $3 million. Control spending with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting engagement. This is done through a team of POCC Business Partners and POCC Operations professionals
- Recruitment and Staffing: Partner with the global COE for TA and develop the regional strategy to oversee recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent. Ensure staffing levels meet strategic and operational needs.
- Performance Management: Design and implement regional performance management programs to evaluate and enhance employee performance.
- Benefits and Compensation: Responsible for employee benefits programs, ensuring competitive offerings and cost-effective administration. This encompasses an annual company spend of approximately $15 million. Responsible to ensure the pay and benefit strategies remain competitive and relevant in the market. Partner with COE TW for globally aligned topics.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Provide guidance on legal matters related to employment.
- Training and Development: Develop and oversee local training programs to enhance employee skills and career development. Partner with L&D COE for globally aligned programs.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming and inclusive workplace.
- Organizational Development: Lead efforts in organizational change and development to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Your expertise
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Law, Organizational Psychology or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in HR software and tools. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications: Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are highly desirable.
